Plain and simple: what we collect when you move with Ryde, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ryde ("Ryde", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our apps, websites and services. By using Ryde, you agree to the practices described here.

1Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created when you use Ryde, and information from your device.

2How we use your information

We use your data to:

3Location data

Ryde is a mobility service, so location is central to how it works. With your permission, we use precise location to find you, match a ride, navigate, and bring Care to where you are. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings — though some features won't work without them.

4How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run Ryde:

5Payments

Payments are processed by licensed third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems. Your use of payment features is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.

6Cookies & analytics

Our websites and apps use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how some features work.

7How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, to meet legal and licensing obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8Security

We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

9Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or withdraw consent, by contacting us at the address below. We'll respond within the timeframes the law requires.

10Children

Ryde is not intended for children under the age required to hold an account in your country. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

11International transfers

We operate across the Gulf and may process data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we put appropriate safeguards in place to protect it in line with applicable law.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll let you know through the app or by other means. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
